We’re getting in touch to let you know that we’re making a small change behind the scenes to improve how we collect your Direct Debit payment. As a result, we’ve stopped collecting from your old Direct Debit and we’ve set up a new Direct Debit to replace it.

You don’t need to do a thing

The good news is that you don’t need to do anything. The changes we need to make will not affect your current arrangement and we will continue to collect the same payment amounts on the same dates as we do at the moment.

What this means for you

In the next few days you’ll notice a new Direct Debit has been set up, Your regular payments and the service you receive from us will carry on as normal.

We’ve told your bank/building society about the change, so they may get in touch with you. You do not need to take any action.

If you would like to check your new Direct Debit details, you can do this by logging into your online membership account or by logging into your online banking account.

You will continue to enjoy the benefits of the Direct Debit Guarantee as shown below.

The Direct Debit Guarantee

  • The Guarantee is offered by all banks and building societies that accept instructions to pay Direct Debit 
  • If there are any changes to the amount, date or frequency of your Direct Debit , Active Halton will notify you 10 working days in advance of your account being debited or as otherwise agreed. If you request Active Halton to collect a payment, confirmation of the amount and date will be given to you at the time of the request
  • If an error is made in the payment of your Direct Debit , by Active Halton or your bank or building society, you are entitled to a full and immediate refund of the amount paid from your bank or building society
  • If you receive a refund you are not entitled to, you must pay it back when Active Halton asks you to
  • You can cancel a Direct Debit  at any time by simply contacting your bank or building society. Written confirmation may be required. Please also notify us.
