Targeted classes inc classes for health conditions and seated exercise
Pulmonary Master class: – Following rehabilitation from Halton Hospital with a gentle exercise session. Referrals must be made via the Rapid response team at the Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Halton general hospital.
Chair based exercise: – Gentle seated exercise working on all exercise components to boost mood, improve fitness, increase strength and flexibility and improve mobility.
Qigong chair-based Tai Chi: – Simple static Tai Chi exercises for adults with learning disabilities and anybody who would benefit from a simple chair-based exercise routine.
Zipper Club: – A support group for those who have suffered a cardiac event or for their families. Social interaction, physical activities such as walking, yoga, and chair based exercise and events.
Movement Therapy: A gentle chair-based exercise class using gel-balls for hand exercise and therapy bands for strength exercise.
Stay Strong Stay Steady: A very gentle, mainly chair-based class for upper body movement and some balance work, ideal for older adults with limited movements or balance issues.
Active Bingo: Prize bingo with a little chair-based exercise and social cuppa time.
Rock Steady Boxing: A fitness class using boxing exercises for people with Parkinson’s Disease.
Low level classes suitable for those new to exercise and beginners:
Move On: – A follow on session from exercise referral gentle exercise sessions.
Heal The Body Yoga:- A gentle class focusing on healing the body & relaxing the mind, includes gentle postures to aid mobility, some core structure work for strength, affirmations and relaxation techniques.
Beginners Tai Chi: – A form of Chinese martial art, combining a system of slow exercises known for the health claims.
Stay Fit-Easy: – Gentle fitness and strength exercise to music, suitable for pulmonary follow-on class
Low – Moderate level classes. Can accommodate beginners and those advancing through the stages:
Exercise to music: – An exercise class to the beat of music to energise the whole body. Can improve cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, muscular-endurance and flexibility.
Move Up: – Exercise to music/ aerobic and resistance session.
Tai Chi: – A form of Chinese martial art, combining a system of slow exercises known for the health claims.
Line Dancing: – Dance and have fun. Learn new moves and meet new friends.
Gentle Yoga: – Deeply relaxing style of yoga to release tension from body and mind.
Zumba Gold: – Zumba specifically for over 50’s
Mature Movers: – Dance based fitness specifically for over 50’s
Gentle Easy Exercise: – Gentle fitness and strength exercise circuits.
Stay Fit: – Gentle fitness and strength exercise to music, suitable for Fresh Start follow-on class
Hooping Class: – aerobic hooping exercise working core muscles to improve posture and tone core muscles.
Dance Fitness 50+: – A dance based exercise class.
Moderate intensity classes suitable for all levels with adapted moves for beginners and advancers
Pilates: – A slow and controlled exercise class to improve core strength.
Yoga: – Slow controlled postures and breath work to exercise at a safe and effective level. All exercises can be modified to suit individual abilities.
Pilates Fitness:- basis Pilates moves with an easy to follow flow for all levels.
Circuits: – Move around a circuit of individual exercise stations for a whole body workout at your own pace.
Boxing Fitness:- Keep fit with boxing fundamentals.
Jog Club & Get Fit Walking: – Walk, stay walking or progress to jogging –track training. A training programme is available for beginners to progress to jogging following a progressive walking programme.
Zumba: – An exercise to music class with dance moves such as Cha Cha, Mambo, Meringue to a Latin beat.
Men’s Badminton: – Play for fun and exercise with gent’s 50+
Body Conditioning: – A full body workout, targeting areas to improve strength and tone.
Rebound:- An aerobics class performed on a rebounder (mini trampoline) a cardio workout without excess stress on joints and muscles
Popmobility:- An exercise to music class “old style” an aerobic routine to each song..
Moderate – High Intensity classes suitable for those who want a fitness or strength challenge
Ashtanga Yoga: – Powerful flowing postures. All exercises can be modified to suit individual abilities.
Boxercise: – An exercise class, using boxing moves to energise and work the whole body.
Kettlercise: – A body toning class using weighted kettlebells
KettleStrength: A class using kettlebell weights to improve physique, strength and mental toughness.
Metafit: – A body weight training class using high intensity intervals.
Clubbercise:- A dance-based fitness class that feels like a night out with club anthems and glow sticks.
Boot Camp:- Combination of strength and fitness exercises to challenge the body..
Outdoor Circuits:- Outdoor fitness activities
Fitclub: High intensity interval training
Core Attack & Ab Blast:- A workout to strengthen and tone tummy muscles and core.
Insanity:- A high intensity whole body workout.
Push and Tone:- Outdoor fitness class for mums with or without a pram. Power-walk and exercises suitable for the post-natal lady.
Pram Fitness:- Outdoor exercise for mums with prams.
Body Blitz:- A mix of aerobic and strength training using body bars and hand weights to condition and tone.
Pi Yo:- Pilates for core strength & yoga for flexibility delivered in nonstop flowing dynamic moves.
Kickboxing Fitness: – Learn a variety of kicks and punches in an exercise class format.
HIIT: High intensity interval training.
BodyFit: A full body workout using body weight and equipment.
Social Sports with options to work at your own pace including beginners, some can be played seated if required and time for a chat
New Age Bowls: – Indoor soft bowling game. Meet new friends have a cuppa, and have some fun.
Short Mat Bowls: – Indoor mat bowling.
Leisure Bowl: – Indoor short mat bowls. Polish your technique and improve your skills. Beginners welcome.
Table Tennis: – Make new friends and learn a new skill or brush up on you technique with great instructors, all you need is your training shoes.
Over 50s Multi activity: – New Age Kurling, Boccia, and New Age Bowls, fun with bowling and target based games.
